Sorry but come on, this has been sitting here for well over a month waiting. He has known this was coming for a lot longer. isaiah, let someone else do it so we can play it this year.

So, I've been waiting for 5 years but I can't be waited for a month. That's very kind.

I think you'd like to know that I have recovered that old version of XML, and am starting to update it. The biggest part will be to change all the coordinates, and after all not sure how difficult will be to use the collections feature.

If you have any trouble with the collections, just give Gilligan a shout. I believe he will be more than willing to help you with that . ;)

Quick update. That's the state of things:

All territories created. Fine tuned homelands so the 888s fit exactly inside the hexagons for small and big map.
Tomorrow I'll fine tune the rest of the territories, so they display perfectly. After that's done I'll post an 888 test for big and small maps, and the next thing will be to code the adjacencies and bombardments.

That's how it looks now. Notice that some 888s are a bit displaced, except for the homelands.

Thanks for the update Oliver and great to see the XML is underway. For what it's worth, I think it was totally fair to wait for you to have some free time. This really is your map after all and you've been waiting very patiently for a good 3 years at least just for the graphics to be taken care of. It's really great to see the map getting so close to becoming playable and I look forward to the absolute nightmare that Beta will bring :)

Thanks Tanarri. You have been (and are) the best companion during all this journey.

Now that noone reads me, I hope the beta will demonstrate that Sabotage need to be changed to something else ;)

I've wondered about that as well. If it doesn't turn out like expected and BigWham gets some XML updates in place in time, I had wondered about something like "Security" that gives an auto deploy on capitals and possibly mines. I thought of +2 capitals and +1 mines, but it would have to be a pretty substantial neutral in that case... probably something around where Sabotage is now. I guess that's not such a problem now that it's a "Special Research" and not a basic one.

So just out of curiousity, how long do you see the XML taking to complete? Based on how long it took Krazy Kingdoms to get put into Beta after being stamped, if we were to get the XML completed by around the 15th we may have the map playable as a holiday present to ourselves :)

I see the coordinates part as the most difficult and tedious one, because it's needed to check each of them in the map, and that's the reason I started there. The rest should be a lot quicker, and I believe that it will be finished long before the 15th.

Today I've been driving from Madrid to Barcelona to visit my parents, so I am a bit tired, but tomorrow I expect to post the 888s test and to do the adjacencies or at least start them.

Sorry, CC maps more important than family or safe driving.

The progress on this has been really great last couple days in my view, maybe a day off is in order?
