Thats a good point. If you own the batsman and the fielder, you wont be scoring any runs. It might even be worth a -1 if you hold batsman, fielder and four and +1 if you hold just the batsmen and the four. It might be difficult to impliment that considering the number of fours and fielders.

i can understand what you mean, but that might create gameplay problems, because the incentive to go for the bonus for having all fielders might not be enough to attack fielders. we don't want a situation whereby no one wants to attack fielders. also, there is already a -1 for batsman & fielder, so to get the batsman & four bonus you would need to conquer four and hope that someone conquers fielder from you.

i think it's a bit like having all the shots come from one batsman; it might be more realistic that way, but sometimes in order to facilitate easier gameplay we have to make sacrifices. am loving this map so far, and the discussion with it. keep up the good work cairnswk

Loving this map, I begged for a cricket one like 6 months ago  .

Can't suggest too much for now, just that some lines are hard to see.

Tbh I'm actually finding all the lines hard to see.

Maybe a colour that stands out more than black should be used?

I also don't like how some of the words, such as Batsman, are on two lines.

OK, i've tried to fix some of those issues for you. i hope they are better. :)

I've also changed the legend to a scoreboard type...i hope it works, although i don't like the black entirely, its still good, but i've tried other colors for the scoreboard and they don't work.

Looks much better :D .

One more suggestion, just either make the lines on the dark green either thicker or a different colour. A small black line on dark green isn't the easiest to see.

Otherwise, looks great for now, will suggest more when I see the need =D> . Please don't let this die, I really want a good cricket map to play on.

Btw, Swami Profets... Is that Indian by any chance? What about like Bharath Army, that's a term used lot for Indian supporters. Sabri, Tut, Vama, Ali  ? Don't sound Indian to me 8-[ .

All the names on the media centre are also don't look too good. Maybe they need more space?

The Swami Profets ( i couldn't fit the word Prophets) is meant to be representative of not only India, but also Pakistan and Sri Lanka, yes? As for the names, well, please look up Indian Baby Names. I wouldn't have put them there is they didn't represent that sub-continent. Usually if i do something like placing names like that on a map for a reason.

All the names on the media centre are also don't look too good. Maybe they need more space?

I don't think they need more space. I think they're quite adequately spaced. I wouldn't want to spread them over any part of the paths background, wouldn't be right would it? :)

I am looking around the outside, in the public section.

OK. Well I'm Indian, so can give names. Out of those 5, maybe 1 Pakistani, 1 Sri Lankan and 3 Indian, as it is obviously largest. Hmm. Short names... Dilip (SL). Zain/Zaib/Zaki/Zakir (Pakistan). Jay (India). Rahul (India). Asha (India). Asha is a girl's name, the other 4 are boys, good?

OK, the media centre isn't too bad. Maybe move Tony Greig's name like a touch downwards?

Sorry for all the nitpicks :P .

1. OK, the public area....fixed.
2. i've swapped Dilip, Zakir and Asha in there but i'd like the other two Singh and Tut to remain, as they're two of my uni mates names
3. T Greig's name can't move down otherwise it'll increase the size of the map.

Yes. good pick-up, thank-you. I'll adjust accordingly. :)

That aspect should be fixed now peacemakers from the distinction in the army circles. :)

I am very interested in this map, looks complex enough to satisfy my curiosity :)

Ummm being from New Zealand, I would not be put out if you have to give one of our regions to one of the bigger countries. We are one of the small cricket nations, we are tiny compared to the might of India, Australia, England and South Africa.... Surely the Indian supporters should take up more of the grandstand than us kiwis lol....

Thats my only input at the moment, I will have a ponder over the rest of the map and post my thoughts later...

Edit: Well looking back, the Swami Profets take up mor eof the grandstand but are worth the same, maybe they should be worth more?

still confusion with TC6 and HS6 as to who is the closest fielder ie the legend
also the single runs
mid on 1, cover, gully strait fine leg 2. I think these should be more generic. Most specifically the numbers
I think everything else is looking ok

Thanks Zivel...before i make any changes there i'll see if there is other feedback. although you're only a small nation, i was thinking of not making the territory numbers any less that 3 otherwise we have to make too many neutral starts.

Suggestions?

Hmm just maybe the Beige Brigade could only be worth 2 as it seems that they only have two spots to defend as Tawera is hidden away, this seems to be the same with the South africans. The others seem to have 3 if not four spots they will have to defend from and therefore should be worth more. Now I must admit that I am still unsure as to all the attack routes (can public 14 hit Max?) so may I made a mistake here, but just my small idea to balance the map. I also love the arrows that have been added :D Just another question, do all the fielders border the single runs or is it just the batsman?

OK thanks for that feedback, i'll keep it in mind :)

Yes, to the right of the black score board there

yes that seems to make more sense.

only batter 1 & 2 from their respective positions, they have two each. :)

So would you like a position or two in the stands for other nations?
I don't know about the medium fast bowler and left handed bat....you might just have to play the game as is. ;)
