Welcome Comrades to the 107th edition of the Dispatch
After the colossal enterprises that were issues 105 and 106, we're all taking a bit of a breather and being less wordy than usual. I hope you consider this a welcome change!
To me, the most important news is that we seem to have finally turned the corner. For three months the development team, under our new owner BigWham and our new Operations Manager blakebowling has been rolling out one improvement after another, and yet membership continued to decline. Lately people have been asking themselves, "Why do the numbers continue to slide when there is so much improvement?"
I believe that it is mainly a matter of needing to overcome inertia. There was such a huge watershed of pessimism on CC that it could not be fixed in one or two steps. I think the new administration has finally convinced enough people that the pendulum is now swinging the other way. 11271, the scoreboard figure that we hit on November 2nd, might well be the record low. We are now 200 higher than that, and still rising.
