It isn't true, or wasn't in October and November and December when I was out there. ;)

If you get blackjack they pay you 1.5, you can double down on 11's, 10's, 9's if you wish and split pairs.

LOL 20 on the nose at 26 coming up next time I head downstairs.

And no, that is not true about doubling down. You can double down anytime you want.

And in reference to Chephren. I am only here 1 more day.... I also hope I don't come back married but I was a little drunk last night. I couldn't tell you if I got married or not. (I hope not  )

I like to say a few words here. First, it often takes some discussion to agree to play a clan challenge. I feel like we are agreeing to play 4 clan challenges here, and that is why I think its such a big commitment. I suspect that tsm vs thota will be over by first or second week of march. If we have a week or 2 to sit around with our thumbs up our butts, we may decide that this looks like something we're interested in.

Monki's are still up in the air I think. Sure right now more are against this, but I think as other stuff draws down it will slowly shift. So this is where tsm is at. Now I know that you have to get on with your business, so we don't want to Brett Favre you guys, that I think is why it was posted that we are not in. Now if you don't mind leaving place set at the table for us, knowing that we might not get home till 11 o'clock at night, then we may end up playing. That part is up to you guys. However we might still not be in so we're trying to be fair and respectful and give an answer now.

I would really like to play in this, if I knew that there would be at least a few weeks between the end of cla and thota, and the start of this.

On a separate note, this cup will run into cla season 3, and the probably Christmas break next year. At least for the last 4 clans. I guess its doable, we're doing cla and a challenge now, but its something to consider.

Empire: I have a lot of respect for Empire. In fact, in issue 25 of the newsletter (Coming out some time in mid February), I plan on writing an article on the top ten clans on cc, and Empire will be on the list. Before this whole cup thing started I was thinking that they would be a nice challenge for us in a couple of months, after we are done beating thota. Now with the cup, the only way we will play each other, will be if we play in the cup.

Anyway, to sum up most of this. If this won't start for a while, and you guys can leave a spot reserved, monki's might change our mind, but we are not willing to commit to this now.

Finally, I am speaking on behalf of myself, not officially for the clan. However, what I have said is based on clan discussions and voting.

Perhaps this will ease your mind and give you something to bring back to the other banana eaters. I believe there are something like 21 clans signed up right now (which would mean there would need to be 5 play in matches (those who are ranked 11-21). It's pretty safe to say the Monkis will not be ranked 11 or below, so that preliminary round would not include you. Assuming that preliminary round starts in the 2nd or 3rd week of February (which I think is pretty realistic), it should end somewhere around the 1st and 2nd week of March. Figure another week or so until the round of 16 starts (I don't know if I should still call it round 1, it seems more like round 2 with 11 teams getting a buy). I would think the first games you guys would be playing are around March 21st or so. That's my best guess. Now, that first clan you would be challenging (let's say you are ranked 2nd for argument sake) you would be facing the winner of the 15th and 20th ranked clans--not to say that it is an easy match by any means, but it's certainly not as nail biting as THOTA.

I think the Grim Reapers qualify according to what we set the standards as. Sorry, I have been out of town. I will get the list updated soon. We will probably lock the entries and start with voting very soon.

George, I plan on locking the entries sometime this week and starting with the voting for the seeding. I will include TSM in the votes and let you all vote also for the seedings. But before any of the play-in games start I will need to know if they have changed their minds about playing because whether or not you all play will determine how many play-in games we need to have played. I hope you understand that this is all I can do to give you all the longest time possible to decide but yet still keep the tournament progressing forward for everyone else.

Pretty good luck. Probably made $700 or so on the craps tables. But no worries, I found ways to spend all of that.

I apologize. I just checked the clan records and I was wrong. Grim Reapers do not qualify this year. They have 0 clan wars completed with at least 40 games. They are about to finish up 1, but they have not even started a 2nd. I made an exception for Divine Domination because they are more than halfway through their second one and should be over 40 games by the time we start this, but with GR not even starting one yet, I do not think I can make that same exception for them. Hopefully you will have more wars under your belt and can participate next time!

I have also checked Legends of the Zone. They qualify and I will add their name shortly.

Left field might be a bit much.

Perhaps we'll need a water boy. How's that sound?

Why be KORT's water boy when you can be EMPIRE's cheerleader? Beckytheblondie - Head Cheerleader....that has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?
