(Well.. it's close to the end of the game, assuming you know who doesn't forget to send me his night action. But it's not the official end; not yet.)

I thought so to. Sorry Aim although Mandy deserved to be called an idiot in this game at the end.

So Kate's Cafe is closed for good;
No more shall poets linger.
Now critics plot where verse once stood.

The final day has dawned too soon,
And with it a fatal Review :
"Poor kwanton's songs are out of tune."

And thus the game was down to two.
The critic spoke out at last,
"My name is Talapus; I rule!"

kwanton, Charlie Badliar (Poet), has been criticized!
mandalorian, Oscar Normal (Poet), has been endgamed!

The critics have won! (Final tally and roles posted on first page.)

Here are the roles for this game :

Townies -

You are Billy Wigglestick (Lover).

You write sonnets - mostly to your lover, Annie Hatter (Incandenza). You may speak with your lover by PM at any time during the game, but you are still required to speak in sonnets in your PMs. If you or your lover die for any reason, the other will commit suicide the followng night.

You win when the critics have been banned from the coffee shop.

Here is a description of the sonnet form. You may choose either the English or the Italian form.

You are Oscar Normal (Poet).

You write ballads.

You win when the critics have been banned from the coffee shop.

Here is a description of the ballad form.

You are Homie Odysseapupapolous (Poet).

You write heroic couplets.

You win when the critics have been banned from the coffee shop.

Here is a description of the heroic couplet form.

You are Christopher Marlowe (Cop).

You write blank verse. You are also a "professional" poet, and thus have some experience with critics - each night you may investigate one player to determine their alignment.

You win when the critics have been banned from the coffee shop.

Here is a description of the blank verse form.

You are Jill Laumer (Poet).

You write rondelets.

You win when the critics have been banned from the coffee shop.

Here is a description of the rondelet form. Here is an example of the form.

You are Nina Stickler (Poet).

You write nonets.

You win when the critics have been banned from the coffee shop.

[http://www.noggs.dsl.pipex.com/vf/englishsyllable.htm#Nonet]Here[/url] is a description of the nonet form.

You are Skinny Leonard (Doc).

You write free verse. Because of this, you have some experience dealing with criticism, and can help others overcome it - you may chose one player to protect each night (you may not protect yourself).

You win when the critics have been banned from the coffee shop.

Here is a description of the free verse form.

You are Lee Takahashi (Poet).

You write haiku.

You win when the critics have been banned from the coffee shop.

Here is a description of the haiku form.

You are Charlie Badliar (Poet)

You write rondeau.

You win when the critics have been banned from the coffee shop.

Here is a description of the rondeau form.

Critics -

You are Bertie Siskel (Lead Critic).

You are the lead critic (aka, mafia godfather). Your fellow critics are Incandenza and Talapus; you may speak with them at night.

As lead critic, you are responsible for sending in the night kill each night. You are also immune from investigations. Further, you know that the villanelle is a safe verse form to claim.

You win when the critics equal or outnumber the poets.

Here is a description of the villanelle form.

You are Annie Hatter (Desperate Critic).

You are a critic. Your fellow critics are pancakemix and Talapus; you may speak with them at night.

However, you are also a lover - your significant other is Billy Wigglestick (Anarkistsdream). You may speak with him by PM at any time during the game; however, he is a poet and believes you to be one as well; he will write only sonnets to you. If either of you dies during the game for any reason, the other will commit suicide the following night.

You win when the critics equal or outnumber the town.

Here is a description of the sonnet form.

You are John Johnson (Critic)

You are a critic. Your fellow critics are pancakemix and Incandenza; you may speak with them at night.

You win when the critics equal or outnumber the town.

All in all, considering the difficulty, I think the game went extremely well. Great job, guys!

You had me rolling just about the entire game. :)

And an extra bit of praise to mandalorian; you were definitely the king of the verse, despite losing the game at the end.

First of all.... WOO HOO!

It was looking grim there for awhile tho.

I'd like to join aim in giving major props to mandy. The one mistake was not thinking outside the box when it came to LSU's name, which was my favorite that aim came up with. 'Nina' is close to 'nine', and 'Stickler' is, well.... basically his name means he's a stickler for nines...

Also high-five to autoload, without whose protection of wicked on night one this game would've prolly been over sooner.

Thanks, aim! This is definitely one game that'll go down in the annals of CC mafia history.

gg all. Thanks aimless. I knew it was talapus but there was no way I could convey my points well enough to sway mandy only using poetry so I gave up. Guess I'm not cut out to be a poet lol.

Well, I supose that it could have been worse. Kwanton could have somehow stop the Night Kill, in wich case I would have voted him. Great name, 'Mr. Longboat'. =D> Good game all.

Point of interest, why didn't Kwanton die after his last, non-poetic post? :?

Awesome game Aim (as usual). =D>

BTW, do you know where you can stick your 'Nina Stickler'?

Please don't use the word 'stickler'. #-o Your name was awsome! Exile's I would have bought, maybe, if he gave it right away. But, I found Dylan Thomas to fast, wich made me even more suspicus.

The game was so close to an end that I felt it didn't matter.

Besides, I was giving everyone one warning, and kwanton hadn't burned his yet. Plus, I just hate modkilling when it's unnecessary.

exile's name thing was my fault... I just kinda whipped it up on the spur of the moment and forgot that pancake had referenced Mao on like page one. Ah, well...

Nice Baggio reference, btw. +1

What? I was trying to be creative. I realized later I messed up in verse (the line was nine syllables, not 8) :?

Worst Strategy Evah Award goes to Mandy in his closeminded "out the cop" routine. I wasn't sure whether to even acknowledge that.

And next time I'm going with my gut! Tappy all the way! lol
