Bad Poets Society Mafia - Critics win!

Rules :

Your mod this game is I, Aimless.
Whatever I say is what goes.
Consider me your God, no less.

Your role PMs are just for you,
Don't quote but your names and claims.
Anything else is not to do.

Your votes, unvotes, should be in red,
And counted as part of your poems.
You have license on how it's said.

One half plus one results in lynch.
Post only once once you're dead.
To end a day without: "No Lynch."

Until a lynch, the day goes on;
I do not believe in deadlines.
But wait too long - I'll impose one.

Three days, at night, you have to think;
Get all your night actions in.
When time draws near, don't lose them - act!

The normal rules will still apply -
Don't edit, be active, don't spam.
If you're unsure, surely ask why.

Poets must speak their lines in verse,
Your PM gave you your type.
Critics are free, but prose is worst.

If you should break your verse's style,
One warning by PM you'll get.
A small mistake is fine, but try.

Addendum :

I will allow short off-topic comments to be written outside of verse - for instance, if you need to correct a typo in a previous post, you do not have to create a poem specifically for the fix. However, anything on topic must be written in verse. Comments outside of your verse should be denoted by parentheses; i.e. (Edit - In the above, "you" should be "your.")

Do not let this get out of hand, or I will take away this privilege.

*****

In Kate's Cafe, the poets came
To practice their amateur verse.
But that has changed - it's not the same.

Critics arrived - the mood has changed -
And so something must be done.
We'll ban them all - retake the stage!

So one by one, we vote them gone,
Before our society dies.
Today we start our hopeless plan.

*****

It is now Day 1!

The wrong side of my brain

This game seems weird, but rather fun.
Games like this: I have been in none.
But let's get this started shall we?
I shall add to the vote tally.
This random vote belongs to one.

I will vote wicked not to stun
But mods stand out. Understand hun?
Get the critics. Poets rally.
This game seems weird.

This will be hard, but I think fun.
O and to the mod: thanks a ton.
I'm pretty new get it pally?
Thanks for the invite actually.
You won't regret that decision.
This game seems weird.

This game should prove to me unkind,
My posts shall all be very long
For this is how I speak my mind.

My voice does Aimless cruelly bind,
So now I cry in my sad song
This game should prove to me unkind.

For those who are too slow of mind
I write villanelles like Mao Zedong
For this is how I speak my mind

I do not have venetian blinds
(I ramble now to make it long)
This game should prove to me unkind

I speak in verse and now I find
That I wish to vote for Kwanton
For this is how I speak my mind

Now you see what I am assigned
My speech I shall no more prolong
This game should prove to me unkind
For this is how I speak my mind

On the lookout we should be
for others who are not as we,
to prose they are not bound
so faking they shall be.

Perhaps that style bound to thee
shall remain unnamed for now,
else fakers see what is used
and picking what is left.

OMGWTFBBQ
I'm appalling at writing in verse
so what the f*ck am I to do?

I'll try not to do much worse
than my usual paranoid musings
that have often become my curse

This early in the game, things
are not quite so clean or clear
It takes time for a game to grow wings

Verily, wicked speaks truth to my ear
Let not our styles through our lips passed
Brevity and paranoid, we should not fear

But since the critics' rhymes are not cast
A huge FOS on whosoever posts here last.

And since a villain often he
a vote for Mandy I decree
It is random yes for now
but how it stays we shall see.

So we start the invite-only game.
Interesting, as it should be.
There are many veterans
I proclaim its day 1!
A random vote for me
So I will vote
for fircoal
maybe yes?
yes!

Throughout the day the poets came
To approach the stage and in hopes of fame
They each announced the poem they had
Be it good or be it bad

Some were shy and a bit unclear
Others were bold and faced their fear
But alas not all had come
The day was fresh and the night was young

But to have no lynch would be a sin
For we'd start tomorrow like today again
Lost in verse without a clue
No idea who was who

So I cast my vote for no one spoken
For already they rymed be good or broken
It seems to me the way to go
Is someone shy who's not yet told

So here and now I state my claim
And point a finger of who to blame
Random yes, so hold your cryin'
I must vote for MountainLion

Who are the scum?
I really must know who is
Who are the scum?
Could it be Mandy, is he scum?
Vote: Mandy just in case, for he tis
Or at least I think that he is.
Who are the scum?

To discover who here be scum, I think,
This be a coffee shop; I need a drink.
Surely when morning blues depart, I will
Point the Eff Oh Ess at Kwanton, to fill
The need for a lead among poets here,
Surely our critics must depart from here.

I jumped out from my bed so fluffy,
When Day One has just begun,
I felt an urgent need for coffee
To Kate's Cafe then I did run.

I strode in quite unassuming,
For there's nothing I need to hide,
I saw Wicked angry, fuming
And Fircoal, plotting by her side.

Talapus, Kwanton and Jnd sung
As if the waited haven't sing all week,
I pondered who should be hung
And I chose the mouse with a rosy cheek.

Now I saw scum,
So many scum,
More scum than y'all,
And among those scum
There was not a one
Who was scumier the Fircoal!
And although the game has just begun,
I am voting for Fircoal.

'Convenient' was Wicked's claim
That she doesn't care if her words rhyme,
Her proof against me, too, was lame
She is metagaming all the time.

And as I sat there accused and hurt,
For I haven't been 'wagoned in quite a while,
I noticed that pancake and Reynolds Burt
Are witting poems of similar style!

Now you can say that my skull is void,
That my theory is a piece of dung,
Go ahead and call me paranoid,
But one of those two will end up hung.

Now I saw scum,
So many scum,
More scum than y'all,
And among those scum
There was not a one
Who was scumier the Fircoal!
But I am by new evidence stun,
So, unvote Fircoal.

Yes I saw scum,
So many scum
But now I find myself in a fix
To find the scum
And get the job done,
FOS Inca and pancake mix

My posts have to with syllables
Forgive me if i do not rhyme
Many a man looks scummy
Although I dont have time
or the creativness
to put it in
a poem
indeed
right!

"My posts have to with syllables"... say what?
Bad grammar does not fit well in this spot.

Be careful with the random votes
as large in numbers are not we
Let us all post upon this day
then name our style for all to see
Starting with the last to post
which may reveal a scum you see
A great big FOS for jnd have I
as his style seems close to mine
But an English major was not I
so just a FOS declared from me.

There once was a mod called Aimless,
His games were never a-miss.
Selin was a poet,
And don't we know it!
Have fun in this game by Aimless!

(Sorry I had to have a go at this! , Don't mind me, that limerik was rubbish yet it took me 5 mins to write!)

HAVE FUN! :D

I feel that my time here has come
To post something for you all
While this may not be good as some
I would rather try and take the fall

Too many English courses for me
Have burned out my wont for a rhyme
But I suppose we shall see
If I can get it back in time

So far there is no one suspicious
But how suspicious could one man be
Some of your writings delicious
And some make my eyes bleed

And this is all for now, my friends
I mustn't my boss to offend.

I find it hard and slightly odd,
this game presented by our mod.
He brought us here to quote and ryhme,
which is challenging and takes much time :?

But through at all, we have arrived,
some have bombed and some have thrieved.
But there is still much to fear,
because a few of us don't belong here.

From the start we had to ryhme,
our poem styles choosen from that time.
Too late to run, too late too hide,
the rules writ which we must abide.

I see it now, clear as day,
some of us have gone astray.
The styles are simialr and someones lying,
the truth you tell I'm not quite buying.

It seems to me, that the poems of jnd,
might be slightly borrowed you see.
Too early to tell or know for sure,
But I think his intentions may be less than pure.

And wicked wrote from lack of sleep,
her head filled with counting sheep.
Though not a ryhme as she confessed,
it still deserves an FOS.

But it's early yet and hard to know,
since all the poets have yet to show.
Make your stand and speak your mind,
for scum we are all here to find.

Wickeds first post is plain to see
Watch it with a wary eye
She said no rhyming needed she
But that seems to be a lie

After that she changed her tune
And started couplets and the rhyme
I know it may be rather soon
But Vote: Wicked now and waste no time

And if I am wrong forgive me all
But Wicked is always mafia y'all!

Anarkistsdream, poet extraordinaire,
Your vote must be red to claim it's fair share.

She sometimes rymhes, so she lies, hoax.
She must be scum, or she's a goat.
I vote: Wicked
