Conquer Club

OK, so a while back I created this map as a joke to send to the newsletter for use in wca's tablet. However after running across this file on my computer once again I think this might make a fun map. Sometimes I think there are just too many real world conflict recreations and we need a distraction from all the seriousness of war.

Let me know what you think. I cant find the original files on my machine however I would be more than happy to recreate the map if there is interest.

Fair enough ...

I sort of wish they would split the maps on the start a game page into categories like "Real World" "Fantasy Worlds" "Just For Fun" and "Misc" so that we could look at maps grouped together and play the ones that appeal to each of us most.

Conquer Club has a powerful game engine that can be used to create board games other than recreations of the "classic" game. I enjoy seeing maps like "Poison Rome" or "Das Schloss" that push the boundaries of what the game can do.

Not to say that this map breaks any new ground or pushes any boundaries, actually quite the opposite, it is simple gameplay and simple graphics in a funny setting for the sake of being funny.

Wow I think because the name of the map sounds like its about conquering him "Conquering Insomniared" is the sequel ... at least lets hope that's all about this map that makes him feel funny.

Yes, well the idea of "conquering" any woman is, to say the least, more like a biker's dream than anything for metro adults. However, Insomnia could host some games, her choice of the map, and challenge players to the games. Those that lose and bring a smile to her face forever shine in her grace. Those that win and bring a smile to her face, earn her respect. Those that fail to bring a smile to her face get zip. Sort of a tournament for insomniared's lovely graces.

I must point about that you missed the t in 'their' below Bob.

You should replace "Bob" with "InsomniaRed". That would be funny!

I wonder if adding "Black Sheep" to the mix would be interesting ... maybe holding all 4 or 5 black sheep could grant a bonus

We could have black sheep be pitfalls, or useless territories. Something where you can get in, but you can't get out, and maybe have a negative bonus, so people would avoid it like the plague.

Maybe you could have on the side, "indomniared's sleepy pills" that can attakc and be attacked by thE black sheep, as well as bob...

Love the sleeping pills and black sheep ideas... if anyone has any additional ideas like this I am open to any suggestions ...

I'm thinking you should try this. What's the worst that could happen?

Add black sheep! Maybe some fences as impassables, or something.

Ah yea sheep are always jumping over a fence when they are being counted huh =)

Someday I still hope to revisit this map... I have long since lost the original file ... after I am done with the 3 maps I have at various stages I will probably look at this again.
