After a successful doubles tournament and a long hiatus from new tournaments, Initech delves into the triples variety with this edition. Like all Initech tournaments, this edition will be sequential, flat rate, chained and foggy. The tournament will take place exclusively on 9 maps in the Americas, which are outlined below.
OVERVIEW
3-round, 63-game, 9-map, 8-team tournament. All teams guaranteed nine games. Max games for an individual team is 27.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
Premium only, sorry. You'll need more than 4 games open at all times.
RULES
All games will be Triples, Automatic Sequential, Chained, Flat Rate, Foggy
MAPS
The same 9 maps will be used in all three rounds: North America, South America, First Nations, Triple Alliance, Vancouver, Charleston, Great Lakes, Caribbean, Texan Wars
ROUNDS
The first round will consist of four groups of two teams each. All 9 maps are played once each. The team with the most wins advances to the semifinals.
The semifinal round will consist of two groups of two teams each. All 9 maps are played once each. The team with the most wins advances to the semifinals. (the 3rd place team will be deemed the losing semifinal team with more wins)
The semifinal round will consist of one group of two teams. All 9 maps are played once each. The team with the most wins is tournament champion.
SEEDINGS
There will be no seeds. Pairings will be random once I have eight teams.
TIEBREAKERS
Due to the format of the tournament, where there are an odd number of games in each round, tiebreakers are unnecessary.
