Posted: Thu Jun 07, 2012 9:47 pmHello and welcome to what will be my 29th tournament! In this tournament, 24 individual players will sign up, all of which must be premium.
All games will be:
In round 1, we will have 24 players. Each player will play 5 games with a randomly assigned team each game.
Round 1
Each win will be worth 1 point. A bonus of 5 points will be added to any player who wins all 5 games.
Map 1: Atlantis
Map 2: Balkan Peninsula
Map 3: Europe 1914
Map 4: Cairns Coral Coast
Map 5: Montreal
At the end of the round, the 6 players with the least points will be eliminated. Tie-breakers in all rounds will be decided on Arms Race!. These games will usually be 1v1, but will sometimes have more players. They will always have a 20 round limit.
In round 2, we'll have 18 players. Once again everyone will play 5 games with a randomly assigned team each game.
Round 2
Wins will be worth 3 points each. Anyone who can win all 5 Round 2 games will get a 10 point bonus.
Map 1: Mexico
Map 2: King's Court
Map 3: Poker Club
Map 4: Quad Cities
Map 5: Route 66
At the end of the round, the 6 players will the lowest amounts of points will be eliminated.
In round 3, we'll be down to 12 players. This round everyone will play 7 games with a randomly assigned team each game.
Round 3
Wins will be worth 8 points each.
Map 1: World 2.1
Map 2: The Citadel
Map 3: Middle Ages
Map 4: Lunar War
Map 5: King of the Mountains
Map 6: Clandemonium
Map 7: City Mogul
At the end of the round, the bottom half of the scoreboard will be eliminated leaving just 6 players for the finals.
In the finals, the 3 players with the best scores will team up vs. the 3 players with lower scores. These teams will play a best-of-9 series on the Random map with the same settings.
The winners of this series will be the winners of the tournament!
