Blame the Tech Companies who allow AI ChatBots to encourage suicide.

We need to CUT back on use and access to cell phones in the classroom, FOR SURE. I have taught with and without phones in my Classroom, and as a Teacher, I cannot COMPETE against the entertainment value (and numerous distractions) of a cell phone, NO matter HOW good and well-crafted is my lesson.

Here's another perspective:

As a small business owner of over 30 years, I have a significant opinion on the cost, usefulness and impact on the telecom side.

My initial investment was almost 5 grand in telecom equipment setting up my biz way back when. Then, it was a monthly expense of close to $500.

Fast forward to today. All that was replaced by 2 cell phones - I buy cheap no name phones off Amazon for $100 a pop. Every bit as functional as big name phones that my bride and kids pay $1000 for.

I pay annually for cell service and it's $200.

So I'm saving over 5 grand a year now, and am available 24/7 to my customers no matter where I am. Cell phones are a miracle to the small business owner.

And my kids never had a problem with phones. Perhaps proper parenting is still effective.

You just gotta care and try.

Admit it, ConfedSS: 1) You made a mistake about the Autumnal Equinox this year; 2) you misspelled Alexander Graham Bell, and/or 3) your analysis about cell phones and AI is convoluted and possibly WRONG.

If you cannot even ADMIT to a simple mistake, like a misspelled NAME, you certainly cannot admit bigger errors.

JP4 has had bad takes before but this is the one where he is right. Give credit where credit is due.

Problem is, he's arguing against a literal brick wall. You ain't going to find two denser heads than Karel and Confed. God himself couldn't convince these two of anything.

I can applaud their conviction though. Say what you want about these two dorks, they don't budge on their beliefs even when facts are staring back in their face.
