Greetings fellow CC tournament enthusiasts!

Im looking to start a new tournament series based on some speculations of alternate history. I will be looking into some major conflicts in history, from ancient times to the modern day. Please keep in mind there ARE speculations and based on my own thoughts and limited research on cause and effect socially, politically or economically. Just a simple "what if?" Also keep in mind I am not a history major, just an enthusiast...I will LIKELY get some things wrong...(so just dont over thing it)
Some ideas will be made up, some may come from this guy. https://www.youtube.com/user/AlternateHistoryHub

For the 1st tournament I will be looking at the American Revolutionary War, this time the Brits will be the victors

For a fun twist on history please read the round descriptions...

A Brief History
Some dudes in England sailed across the Atlantic Ocean a long time ago bc their king was a dink
The founded some good colonies, 13 to start
The King of England taxed them a lot and they got pissed off (and maybe some other stuff)
They threw out a bunch of tea? (and maybe some other stuff)
They declared independence!
They won!

In this alternate history all of the major factors and causes of the war exist, all of the battles happened but with a two twists...

1. George Washington is assassinated in 1776.
2. The combined Colonial and French forces are defeated by the British in a large naval battle.

The Rules
This will be a mixed tournament combining standard, assassin, poly and team games
All games will be 24 hours, sequential, auto drop, no trench
All other settings will be on a game-to-game basis, if unlisted refer to CC defaults
Teams, where applicable, will be created using random.org
Players will have 48 hours (2 invites) to join games

The War

Round 1-Global Relations
Napoleonic Europe, standard, 5-6 players, fog
Some people see the American Revolution as an off-shoot of the Napoleonic Wars in Europe
This round will be 2 games, starting at 6 players, winner advance.
Winners get a bye to round 3, all players remain

Round 2-Onset of Hostilities
13 Colonies-standard, 2 player, no spoils, adjacent
War breaks in 1775 out after the Boston Tea party and subsequent taxation policies. (and maybe some other stuff) The battles of Lexington and Conchord are the same with both sides each claiming one victory each.
Winners advance, losers are eliminated, 12 players remain (4 from round 1, 8 from round 2)
Also bc of the drop out 1 player will get a bye to round 3

Round 3-Battle of Bunker Hill
King of the Mountain, doubles, 6-8 players, fog
The battle of Bunker Hill, the Brits fight and win a pyrrhic victory (this means the British losses were so great it may have well been a defeat)
(also I think this is where the Stars and Stripes was written?? So maybe that doesnt happen either or the lyrics change)
This round will be 2 games, 1st-4 team dubs, 2nd-3 team dubs. Winners advance
Winners of each game advance, 8 players remain

Round 4-The Assassination of George Washington
Senate, assassin, 4 players, no spoils
With the Colonies on their way to victory their greatest military leader is struck down by assassins at a meeting of the Founding Fathers (et tu brute?)
This act leads to some other chump taking over and his boats being blown to bits while crossing the Delaware river. (he drowns)
This round will be 1 game, winners advance to finals bye round with a chance to get a buy into the final round (more info to follow)
Losers still advance to round round 5

Round 5-The War at Sea
Golfe Du Saint Laurent, triples, 6 players, no spoils, adjacent, fog
With the onset of war the British have created an effective naval blockade around the colonies from Newfoundland to Florida. Coming to the aid of their beleaguered ally the French have sent a large naval task force to break the blockade. The greatest naval commander of all time Super-Admiral Sir Arthurston Williamshire IV leads the French and assisting Colonial navies to the St. Lawrence River where a massive naval battle ending in a decisive British victory occurs.
Winners advance, losers are eliminated, 5 players remain (2 from round 4, 3 from round 5)

Final Bye Round-The King of England
British Isles, poly quads, 2 players, unlimited, fog
Havent convinced some colonial leaders to turn on their dream of a free and independent nation, with the assassination of G.W, the King of England now looks to consolidate power on the home front for the final assault.
This round will be 1 game
Winner advances to the final round, loser move to round 6

Round 6-Siege of Yorktown
Siege, standard, 4 players, fog
With the French and Colonial navies destroyed there is little hope for the advancing army on land. In a last ditch attempt colonial leaders send the rest of their army to lay siege to the city of Yorktown where British generals lay in wait. Wanting revenge for their losses on Bunker Hill the British completely destroy the last remaing colonial army.
This round will be 1 game, winner advances, losers are eliminated

Final Round-Wars End
Philadelphia, 13 Colonies, Montreal, poly dubs, no spoils
Having sacked the coastal strongholds of Boston, New York and Charleston the British turn inland to mop up the remaining rebels. There 1st objective is Philadelphia, home of the surviving rebel leaders, then onward to occupy the entirety of the 13 colonies. The war reaches a cease-fire with the Treaty of Montreal. The British are humbled by the colonial cause and in respect of their vanquished foe offer them representation in parliament. Trade and commerce return rather quickly and the economy booms with the rebuilding of the country. Though not citizens of the independent United States of America, the people living in the colonies are proud to fly the 13 stared Union Jack....
This round will be a best of 3 series
Winner will be crowned tournament champion!

One comment, Those of us who really are Dicks (my actual name, ok nickname, but mine for 60+ years), resent you (everyone who is not a Dick) assigning our supposed traits onto people. One must truly aspire to be a Dick, and wear the name proudly. And someday those of us who are Dicks (not the posers) can become Perfect Dicks. And in the meantime you will have to live with us being the best Dicks that we can be

Question: it says some are team games. Do we choose our teammate(s) or are they assigned?
