Congrats to General Marshall and the Gonzaga Bulldogs, who were regular season WCC champs AND our first crowned conference tourney champion as well. =D> =D> =D>

A heads up, we still have several teams alive in conference tourneys that could jumble the bracket, so the reveal may be delayed a bit.
I also have a vacation coming up that may add to that delay.

I'll work to keep things as timely as I'm able though.

Two more conference tourney champs into the mix with overlander's San Diego State Aztecs winning the regular season and tourney titles in the Mountain West, while sportsgod24's Houston Cougars knocked off No. 1-ranked Nebraska to claim the Big 8 tourney title.

How are you going to be doing that? posts one at a time in this thread or streaming it or what? Also, you should put on a doubles tourney (only 1 setting and all random maps?)!!! I love your tourneys

I'll just start posting the brackets in the thread, with a little rundown of the teams region by region in the thread, starting a 12 p.m. (EST)...it should take maybe 10 minutes to get them all posted.

For everyone else, thanks for playing, and I hope to see you back next college basketball season :)

Here is the Midwest bracket...

Midwest

Nebraska highlights the Midwest bracket as the overall No. 1 seed. Reptile’s Huskers finished with the most wins in the regular season and as a repeat visitor to the top of the RPI poll over the course of the regular season. He also carries a full allotment of power ups into the tourney.

Miami, a No. 5 seed, is another team to watch for out of this region after going on a 13-game win streak during the middle of the season. Faro’s Hurricanes also reached the finals of the ACC tournament.

Out of the double-digit seeds, #13 Florida could be dangerous after winning 5 of its last 6 games. Uckuki’s Gators also won the SEC tournament, and it should be noted that the SEC edged the Mountain West as the most difficult conference this season.

Teams were seeded 1 through 16 on the left side of the bracket and on the right side of the bracket.

Here is the West Region.

West

In the West, General Marshall’s Gonzaga squad gained the #2 seed after winning both the WCC regular season and conference tourneys. The Bulldogs dropped only two games in the WCC all season. He also enters with a full allotment of power ups.

San Diego State is a formidable #3 seed, as overlander’s Aztecs always seem to be a Final Four contender in this tourney. The Aztecs are riding a 7-game win streak into the tourney after winning the tough Mountain West regular season and conference tournament titles.

UCLA could also be a factor out of the #6 spot, as Kevi’s Bruins are battling for the Pacific tourney title. They are one of only a handful of 20-win teams.

Oklahoma could be a surprise despite their #14 seed. Harvmax and his Sooners have six wins over top-20 teams this season and finished second in the Big-8 regular season.

And over to the right side of the bracket...starting with the East Region...

East
ImageC East Region by David Ball, on Flickr

In the East Region, Indiana earned the #1 seed with an impressive 23-6 record and a BIG regular-season title. Agentcom’s Hoosiers are still battling for the BIG tourney title.

Utah, a #5 seed, could be a surprise team after winning the Pacific regular season crown and going 6-1 against top-20 foes. Luxbock’s Utes are battle-tested against the best-of-the-best.

Houston, a #9 seed, could make some noise after winning the Big-8 tournament title. Sportgod’s Cougars have won 6 of their last 7 games.

San Francisco could be a shocker out of the 12 seed. Molespe’s Dons won 10 straight before falling to Gonzaga in the WCC tourney finale.

Also of note in this region, Duke earned an automatic bid and was the last team into the bracket after winning the ACC tourney title.

And finally the South bracket...

South
ImageD South Region by David Ball, on Flickr

James Madison earned the #2 seed in the South after topping the RPI top-20 at various points in the season. Mass Miracle’s Dukes finished with 22 wins – five of those coming against top-20 foes.

Also watch out for #3 seed South Carolina, as shoop76’s Gamecocks went 8-2 against top-20 foes and he also has a long history of success in NCAA hoops. One of the blue bloods of the tourney.

Looking for a surprise team out of this group, and that might be #11 Butler, as viperoverlord’s Bulldogs are coming off a run to the Big East tourney crown. The Bulldogs won the California holiday tourney, as well, and won six of seven in midseason, including wins over a pair of top-20 foes in that stretch.

Still things on that damned honey-do list, but I'll be getting matchups out as the day goes along today.

Also, we have an NIT bracket for those schools that were near-misses. It's a just for fun consolation event, but good luck to those participants as well.

Sweet! Awesome tourney as always, flex. Could you explain the power ups again? I recall having to pick a position to apply at least one of the power ups to in the past. You mention them in the first post, but I didn't see an actual description of how they work. Sorry if I'm just being blind.

I found it. Clearly explained in the postseason scoring graphic.

Also, I just clicked the conference tourney in case you need that result for anything.
