there are still some 11 games being played from the first incarnation.
these have to be played out.
so i imagine it may be sometime in the new year before this gets back into beta play again.

Formal suggestion that might possible end the madness:
Tweak the xml so that the AA units can bombard the "named" landing units (Philby, etc.). This would NOT carry over to the revamped map, this would solely be for the 5 remaining games on the old map.

Advantages:
Well, shit, it'll allow people to be killed. If nothing else, that'll bring a whole new dimension to the remaining games.

I have thought of an Idea just because of the post made by Incadenza.... It would make those maps that people wanted a while back with changing continent bonuses etc. possible every week the map could be reuploaded changing the xml. But that would be a complete pain for lack

It wasn't state on the original either that helipads could attack each other, but people soon got the idea. Use your imagination.

Well, only 2 active games, so I am hoping it will be soon.

Can someone refresh me as to why this map needs to wait until all the games are finished before being changed and not all the other beta maps which are said to be able to be changed at any time?

The map was posted before the beta-map concept invention, plus as half of territories have to change it would be impossible to have the current game "translated to the new gameplay.

Sorta out of idle curiosity, does anyone know the games numbers of the most recent couple/few games to end? I'd be interested to see how some of the ridiculous escalating games were brought to a close.
