This is neither funny nor cool and is insulting to both the Serbian people and others that suffered because of him.

Presuming you misspelled the name and did think of our "beloved" dictator?

Old map of europe have huge mistake, and not represent Serbia in any way-if you look these map you can see that author of map have something against Serbia or Yugoslavia, because all area of former Yugoslavia have name Croatia(and many other mistake what people from europe notice). I think that these map is wrong, ofcourse i say these in Map topic, but nobody want to change these huge mistake. If im in your place i will put some other map instead these.

Hi Qwert, Here's my issue, I've tried to include any map that included the area that Serbia holds and you're right that some of them are inaccurate but I'm already stretched pretty far afield on some of them (you'll notice that I'm using Ottoman Empire etc in some of the rounds). I know it isn't prefect in representing the nation of Serbia however in truth there are a rather limited number of maps that include Serbia in them and I think I have all of them in the tourney at some point.

At this point, since the tournament has already started I'm locked in to what I promised people and changing it now would be inappropriate on my part. Thus we're playing what is listed however I'm interested to know if you are aware of maps that include Serbia that I have not included here.

If you want to change, and instead old europe map,and put some other,i will help you, but if you not want to do that, then i dont see a point of help.
These is 4 or 5 round, and you can change these old europe map with Rail Europe who have Capital of Serbia.
I dont want to boring you but old europe map its very inapropriate and insulting for me(probably is insulting for all people from serbia). Its only represent that serbia not exist, and nothing else. I play these map in begining, when i dont notice that, but i stop playing these map,and i hope that in future will change these mistakes.

learn the darn english :P

anyhow, while qwert has a valid point here, regarding the names and borders of map: Europe, i dont think it was barterer's fault and he just used every available map... (now im playing devil's advocate :s)
design of the map is completely and utterly wrong. in there, we see whole Ukraine as part of continent Germany and as far as my memory serves me Ukraine was never part of any German kingdom... also, former Czechoslovakia is named Slovakia, Kavkaz is named Western Russia, whole BeNeLux is named Belgium, etc, etc, etc... the map is fault by its design, but again, its not barterer's fault and looks quite playable to me.

ps. im from Serbia and map doesnt look insulting to me. its not my(or yours) fault that someone without basic knowledge of history and geography created the map, so i dont see why would i be insulted with it?!

Freak these is only mine oppinion, like i say, im not playing these tournament, but i just see tittle and come to look. He want to map be connected with serbia, and these is Ok. Still mine oppinion is that its better to put Rail Europe instead Old Europe map, because more represent Serbia, then old europe map. Again its mine oppinion and he can accept or refuse, because he is Tournament organiser of these tournament.

I try with mine oppinion, and other people oppinion to demand that these map need to change, not geographicaly, but only names changes, who is wrong, but still after very long period, people who can start these proces are dont want to heard, and all these job can be done in very fast way, and all other stay same(graphic, gameplay).
Sorry to be boring, i hope that im help with these sugestions.

Qwert, you may be a lot of things but boring is not one of them that's for sure.

I don't mind discussing it because it will help me in future tournaments. The reason I didn't use Rail Europe is because it tends to be one of the more polarizing maps in that some people dislike it, and the Rail series in general. For a similar reason I took out Waterloo, replacing it with WWI Ottoman Empire which came out just before I announced the tourney.

I did not realize that the Europe map was such a polarizing map. I knew that there were issues with it in terms of its borders which is why the new Europa map was created. I certainly did not mean to be offensive in choosing it, just trying to pick the best ones maps for a tournament with rather straightforward maps. Your input is always welcome and I value any and all advice but in this one I'm going to continue to use the maps as listed.

Nobody has been eliminated yet and none of the games are over but there are a few who are out of a game or two.

i dont know about rules, but if he gets kicked out in remaining 3 games, does that means the 4 of us will get to the second round no matter the results? im asking this because god knows when we are going to finish those games because as you may see we just entered 5th round. and if missing turns become a reason for his elimination, we can start second round before even finish the first one so the rest of you guys dont need to wait for us

Right, if he deadbeats out of all of them he'll be the eliminated party regardless.

The current standings are on the second post. Groups 1 and 2 are a bit behind, Group 4 is sending two players to a tiebreaker to see who advances and who goes home. Group 5 has 3 games finished (with 3 different winners) with Battle of Actium and Imperium Romanium still to finish while Group 3 has finished off Alexander's Empire

in group 2 Zoebear1 is out of four games for missing turns, but he appeared today in last game after 2 turns missed, so he is still alive... and we are in round 6 in almost every game, so its starting to become interesting :)
