c'mon guys, no need to wind up TSM, they are playing us now then sounds like TOFU in upcoming challenges (that's a handful). It would be great to have them enter the cup, but, no need to revert to sarcasm tactics to lure them in, and regardless of what many may think of scott-lands personality, there is no denying he is one of the very best on the cc site.

let's try to be civil and have some fun so we can make this work please.

Clans can't play in everything offered to them. They will have to pick and choose and if there are future tournaments, don't expect everyone to play. It is nice if all participate, but it won't happen all the time.

While I'm not in a clan, I'd like to play. Can you put me in left field?

Left field might be a bit much.

Perhaps we'll need a water boy. How's that sound?

we realize the implications of our reputation on the line if we dont join this cup. It came kinda outta nowhere when were in the middle of a couple of things and were all pretty maxed out. I know nobody really cares nore will it change the way other clans view us. It will always look like we "copped out" so we will have some serious discussions about it i know that there are quite a few breaks commin up. In march for it to start is a pretty bad time for me im gone most of that month. But if we have to decide within the next week or 2 then its gonna be a for sure no. We have some debates going on right now about the whole thing. Just wish people would stop playing the reputation card though.

I've got Lenny Kravitz playing in my head with that line, tho I realise it differs somewhat.

Blitz mate - there was no sarcasm on my part (re TSM) if that was an inference to what I'd said. I genuinely want them to reconsider their stance and be involved in this.

When Ali was DQ'd by the boxing commission (for his refusal to fight in Vietnam) could anyone else honestly claim to be the best heavyweight boxer in the world? It's no contest without all contenders.

Personally I do not mind if anybody sits, nobody is copping out. This is a ton of work, and every clan needs to consider it carefully.

It's not about reputation. It's more about letting all the clans clash together and test their strength in a world-prestige uber cup. Of course it will be more hard and interesting if all top clans will take part of it. And TSM surely is top. There is no need to prove it again - we just want to face you and play with you :). It's like thanksgiving - all the CC family together at one event :).

Just an FYI. In case you're wondering - Chuck is away for a few days so he won't be replying to anything.

He's getting drunk and losing all his money (and maybe virginity) in Vegas and probably trying to find someone in the SM's to have a heart to heart with and try to convince them to join the Cup

As long as he doesn't come back married it's ok...that really would be the end of his CC life.

But I can guarantee he's following this thread like a puppy following the scent of a bone.....
and he will be reading everything (and replying) when he gets back.

I'm just restating these for when Chuck get's back. I'll have to keep on top of the thread more frequently. I missed so many good comments.

Is Scott too afraid that he won't be able to back up his talk? I'm not surprised.

Scott was fine with it but 2 members can't play the league alone. Scott can easily back up his talk so I don't wanna hear it. ^^

its not scotts decision its the clans decision and were wore out from constant cla and 3 clan wars pretty much all non stop for the past year and some months. Some of us need a break and this just came at a bad time. SO say whatcha want we put up a vote and it was pretty much no question monkis need a breather for a bit.

Scott has nothing to do with the decision making of whether an entire clan chooses to play in a challenge or not-- nor has he commented in favor or against it. Have not made a post as to my interest publicly or in our private sub-forum.

I don't need to back up any kind of talk, my information on your clan record was found in Marval's thread. Last year, there were a slew of losses on it and recently ( few months ago ), Empire's record suddenly went to 7-0 before the ass ripping LoW handed you guys. With a 7-0 record, how could Empire not be in contention for the #1 slot with Thota and were never ranked higher than they were ( not that the ladder is all that great of an indicator ) even being behind LoW and TSM ?

You can take my comments for what they're worth, it was a shot at JP and not Empire.... if there was a mistake made in Marval's thread concerning your record then so be it. For the record, I don't know anyone from Empire outside of a few quality players but then again, you've never been that high on my radar for me to care.

You seem to be the only one who remembers that. If you are talking of Season 1 of the CLA league (which was not a clan challenge, but they did put together the results, we were 1-1 with 3 ties, a far cry from six losses. Secondly, we were 5-0 when LOW beat us. We've won our last two challenges handily, bringing us up to 7-1. You seem to be the only one who does not put us near the top. We have never claimed to be above THOTA or the Monkis for that matter, who we have great respect for. However I can't remember a time in the last two years when we have not been ranked in the top 5-6 in any of the various ladders. I would put us quite even right now with IA or TOFU actually.

Scott-Land wrote:For the record, I don't know anyone from Empire outside of a few quality players but then again, you've never been that high on my radar for me to care.

We'll have to rectify that. Everyone among us seems to want to get to know you quite well. There is nothing they would like more.

Scott-Land wrote:it was a shot at JP and not Empire

JP has put in more time for clans than anyone else. Whether you agree with his ideas or not, why try to disrespect him. It's classless.

I will sorely miss the Monkis in this. I understand that the THOTA challenge is taking a lot of everyone and you need some down time. Perhaps we'll meet afterward....

The thread Marval maintains has never included the clan league. I have a backup (due to the fact that thread is a massive format endeavour) going back to Sun Jul 19, 2009 8:28 am which has EMPIRE at 5-0. I generally do not touch that thread, as I don't want to ruin the great work Marval has done. Even if you confused them with Eternal Empire, the number of losses still doesn't add up to your claims. Let's leave this one alone and let Scott think what he thinks, but unless Scott has some real proof or grants me access to the TSM forum, I can only confirm everything Lubawski and EMPIRE have said.

as an aside, i heard the other day that most of the vegas tables won't let you double down at blackjack - is that true???
