For those new to the site, or with short memories, the TPA7 will be a campaign spanning around a year. It offers everyone the chance to pit their wits against fellow CC players over the course of many different style tournaments offering points towards a grand winner. There are 3 types of tournaments, Major, Premium and Standard, and points awarded accordingly. You dont need to enter every tournament to win the grand prize, just make sure when you do play, you go deep!
Good luck, and enjoy the ride!
This is a Tournament Players Association Year 7 [TPA7] event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments which are detailed below. All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You do not need to do anything more than join one or more of the TPA7 events that will be announced on Mondays.

I will take the TPA major on Sept 28th for a running of A Risktaker's Race: The WC4J Board Game. Where the CC maps are the spaces on the board. No maximum number of players.
I also have an assassin tournament ready to go for the premier if no one else takes that.
I don't get the scoring thing. I assume it's meant to put get the scoring back on a 32/64/128 player basis for bigger tournaments, but it just makes the bigger tournaments give 32/64/128 times less points (except for the winners). Shouldn't it be divided by 32/64/128 but multiplied by the number of players?

That seems to be what it does. Note the “n” in the formula.
The scoring system would benefit from some improvement though. If a tournament had over 256 players You would get more points for second than first. Perhaps unlikely, but there are other issues that creates too.

This is the same scoring formula that has been used in previous editions. I am up for a change, but that would have to happen before the 7th of this month. Any suggestions?
I didn't notice the fact you multiply by n, the formula is fine. I have to agree with scud that not adjusting the score of the winner as well can cause issues though.
Many thanks to all involved in bringing this back! I know it's a lot of work -- I think somewhere sempai is still wrapping up TPA4. I don't know if I'll make it through, life's busier these days - but it's a great thing for the site and for more players to experience!
For this edition yes. We don´t have as many tournaments as we used to. If we see that the TPA7 runs smoothly and there is enough interest we might expand the number of tourneys next year and then we will go back to the old format where maybe not all the standards and possible premiums count.
