Alright, first off if there are more then two scum in this game, then exile needs to have his head examined because that would be crazy.

Also, I'm not quite sure why Aimless is convinced pancake is scum and has a scum buddy. I mean, I understand the arguement, but it seems like a pretty big leap.

As for right now, I'm going to FOS Serbia for not being around much. I know yesterday was a holiday and all, but this day is drawing towards an end as well and still no word.

Besides that, I've got nothing...

I was busy all day yesterday, party, volleyball, fireworks, party, no sleep until 2, up today at 6:30, worked until after 9 pm... so here I am. Those are my lame excuses for my absence.

First, I think it's too early to accuse someone of submarining. It's only been a day, and some people don't get on until late in the day, and on top of that, yesterday was a holiday.

You explained your reason for voting, and that makes sense, but I don't see a reason to unvote right now.

I only just realized why you thought I was scummy early on. I hadn't noticed wicked's vote for Aimless. One thing I don't understand is why you think if Tal is scum that I must be too.

"Lack of sleep" is my excuse for everything. Being hungry, not taking out the trash, playing my bass, screwing up in mafia, sitting at my computer until 12:30 when I have to be up at 6:00... doesn't matter.

Well crunch time, I guess. In a 7 player game, a day 1 lynch is beneficial to the town even if we lynch a townie, because we wind up in LYLO on day two regardless, and having 5 players is actually better odds for the town than having 6.

That said, I'm suspicious of Talapus and pancake; I'm neutral towards Serbia and Incandenza, and I get the feeling both ML and wicked are town.

Between the two, I'm slightly more suspicious of pancake than I am of Talapus, mainly because I don't really buy pancake's defense regarding the submarining accusation.

I haven't found much to say is all.

I was thinking the same thing. If we lynch town and mafia get a kill, we're down to 5 players with two (most likely) of them being mafia and we're at LYLO. The odds are higher that we lynch mafia on day 2, however mafia still have two votes and can speed lynch someone.

If the scum were smart, since this is such a small game, they wouldn't kill anyone tonight, so the pool of suspects would be larger for us tomorrow and scum could just sit back while we lynch each other. I'd agree there's only 1, maybe 2 total in the game.

Assuming we have two scum (that seems to be the standard for a 7 player game, and we obviously don't have more than that), the town only gets to make one mistake.

The problem with a no lynch in this situation is that, even if we no lynch (assuming the scum make a kill), we're still in LYLO tomorrow, so we're no better off that if we make an incorrect lynch. Actually, we're worse off, since we won't have as much information, and since LYLO with 6 players is worse odds for the town than LYLO with 5. So, just about the worst thing the town can possibly do today is to no lynch.

Ah, the old question.

It's kind of tricky to metagame myself here, but I'm usually less aggressive than this in the games that I'm scum; I always try to make a lot of noise when I'm town, because I use the responses as a way to try to find scum. See Film Noir (scum) versus ManHunt (town) for comparative examples. Tombstone might also be a good one; I was godfather in that.

I can't give any better answer than that.

No. 6 with two scum is still LYLO. A mislynch and a night kill leaves 4 alive, 2 scum, scum win.

The only difference between 6 and 5 is that with 6 a single false vote is not an automatic loss, so there is a little room for error when voting. However, my opinion is that the loss of information from not getting a lynch on day one strongly outweighs that niggling benefit.

The only possible way to take advantage of a 6 player day 2 is to have a second no lynch to give the cop slightly more time for investigations; that assumes the cop survives, and otherwise leaves us on day three in 5 player LYLO with no information whatsoever.

I'm still not entirely sure why I'm scummy. Yes, I did give Aimless a second vote, but that's because I completely missed wicked's vote, probably because that night I hadn't slept. And when I do say something, you guys just use it to try and convict me more.

Now, I have no clue why you would even think voting a person right after they voted them would make them my scum partner, especially in a game this small. You might be taking that theory a little too far.

I was wondering if there would even be a cop in a 7 player game, but according to this (thanks Incandenza) I'm willing to believe you pancake, unless someone counter-claims.

Aimless, I now understand our LYLO options. I was suspicious of you, but I like to be aggressive in certain situations as well.
