That's Japanese, not Korean, though, isn't it? I recognise the man, but I don't think I've seen the film. I can't think what the hell the film is.

Ichi The Killer? That might be a stupid guess, but I'm just going by the man in the picture.

I was going to do another East Asian film, but it's probably best not to have two in a row, and I've already done a Japanese one...

An absolutely brilliant British TV miniseries in the '80's:

And just so it qualifies for inclusion in this thread: it was remade (boo! Hiss!) as a feature film in Hollywood just a few years ago:

Both the film and the miniseries have the same name, of course.

EDIT: Bonus points if you can name the person in the top picture. I know the image so well that it's hard for me to judge just how un-recognisable he is there, but he's very famous now.

Easy peasey!. That is The Singing Detective with Michael Gambon playing the lead in the top pic - helps that I'm a Dennis Potter fan!

Yet another East Asian film:

But, also, here's another Dennis Potter one, partly to see if Tripitaka gets it. I grabbed a screenshot of this one when I rented it. Erm, er, just to, er, test the screenshot grabbing facility.

Anyone gets either one, just go ahead and put another film in...

No - similar genre, wrong country. I hate to say "similar genre", as it's not a typical horror film. Another screenshot:

I wasn't sure from the first picture but now you've added the others I'm pretty sure It's A Tale Of Two Sisters

As for the Dennis Potter one, that's Helen Mirren in Blue Remembered Hill And thanks btw for posting that - I'm touched that you were thinking of me!
