2019-11-25 00:39:46 - mc05025: you too
2019-11-25 00:39:48 - mc05025: have fun
2019-11-25 17:59:37 - mc05025: have to leave. see you later
2019-11-25 18:06:22 - ghow: no problem, I have to take a break myself
2019-12-02 14:54:37 - ghow: Looks like we're headed to see who can cash in the last set. A bit boring, but what else can you do?
2019-12-02 14:57:03 - mc05025: it's almost like that
2019-12-02 14:59:28 - mc05025: I have't ever reach the round limit before but I beleive you are in a bad position and you should have tried something before reaching this position
2019-12-02 15:00:37 - ghow: With our position, what can either one of us try?
2019-12-02 15:01:28 - mc05025: well push forward or skipping spoils might be some of the things
2019-12-02 15:02:26 - ghow: It is interesting that with me holding more castles/terts than you that your stack is bigger than mine. How did that happen?
2019-12-02 15:05:00 - mc05025: well there are some high level facts you need to understand in order to play better I beleive
2019-12-02 15:05:22 - mc05025: I am still learning them though, this is the 3rd game I playing and 1st one to reach round limit
2019-12-02 15:05:54 - ghow: facts such as?? Do share.
2019-12-02 15:06:48 - mc05025: ok I will share some that I have understood
2019-12-02 15:07:43 - mc05025: I am caching after you. That means that after my turn a normal thing is for me to have the spoils number devided by 2 minus the bonus differences till now more troops that you
2019-12-02 15:09:31 - mc05025: so now I should have 1720/2 minus lets say 200 troops you took from bonus more than me more troops than you. so like 660 troops
2019-12-02 15:11:14 - ghow: I'm still not sure what you mean. You moving last gives you an extra ~200 troops (from escalate setting) and my holding two additional castles gives me an extra ~15 troops per rounds, so that works out to be about even? I'm still missing something.
2019-12-02 15:12:05 - mc05025: "You moving last gives you an extra ~200 troops (from escalate setting)" I do not think that's correct
2019-12-02 15:13:18 - ghow: I don't know what the increase will be by the last round but it will be at least 150 troops you would get from cashing last.
2019-12-02 15:14:16 - mc05025: I think when you cah second for the entire game then you have taken the spoils troops count devided by 2 more troops
2019-12-02 15:15:57 - mc05025: you should consider that on any single cash I cash something more than you and sum them up
2019-12-02 15:16:01 - ghow: So I'm still not sure why you would end up with more troops than me. Is there some blog on this on this site?
2019-12-02 15:18:24 - mc05025: I do not think so
2019-12-02 15:18:29 - mc05025: I mean I have no idea
2019-12-02 15:18:37 - mc05025: what I am telling you are my thought
2019-12-02 15:18:50 - mc05025: thoughts
2019-12-02 15:21:31 - ghow: gg. I really am bothered by not knowing how you ended up with more troops than me (before I pulled my desperation move).
2019-12-02 15:22:46 - mc05025: well I tried to explain. If you want I can try to further explain it in more details
2019-12-02 15:24:02 - ghow: Are you saying that it comes down to moving second gives you the advantage?
2019-12-02 15:24:34 - mc05025: not realy. You can always skip spoil. But if you do nothing, then yes
2019-12-02 15:25:03 - mc05025: but when playing 1st you might have the posibility to take momre bonuses
2019-12-02 15:25:08 - mc05025: more space
2019-12-02 15:25:28 - ghow: Oh, I see why you said to skip spoil. It's just to put yourself in the "second" position. OK, I got it. Is that always your strategy?
2019-12-02 15:27:16 - mc05025: I have played 3 times over all :). There is no strategy yet
2019-12-02 15:28:27 - ghow: But do you understand why you had >500 more troops than me after 25 rounds (before the bonuses got big enough for moving second to make a difference)? We had one battle with you the attacker, but you didn't get that much of an advantage.
2019-12-02 15:29:17 - mc05025: yea I didn;t get anything from it
2019-12-02 15:29:51 - mc05025: because in all cashes I was taking 5 troops than you and later on even more. If you add all these 5s then you get a high number
2019-12-02 15:31:37 - mc05025: another thing you didn;t take care was the ending number of spoils
2019-12-02 15:31:47 - mc05025: we will end up with 3 spoils each
2019-12-02 15:32:11 - mc05025: this is the only number that gurantee that we will cash exactly the same number of times
2019-12-02 15:32:32 - mc05025: i.e.e there can't be lucky early cashes or 2 pairs bad luck
2019-12-02 15:33:30 - mc05025: gg
2019-12-02 15:34:04 - ghow: Ahhh, yes. So there is no hope that one will be able to cash and the other won't. OK, thanks for the help. If I'm ever in a similar game I'll play it differently.
2019-12-02 15:35:41 - mc05025: glad to help :). I am still working with making my strategy better though :)
