2010-04-01 18:47:39 - MarshalNey: I can't say that I like this map on these settings. It seems that the game goes to whomever goes first
2010-04-01 18:48:57 - MarshalNey: on the second round, it's as if you're getting a +2 bonus (or better)
2010-04-01 18:50:07 - MarshalNey: with two competent players, one may as well just roll dice against the other until someone loses...
2010-04-01 18:59:20 - DresdenSooner: I agree. In fact, I have come to think that 1v1 games are mostly settled by the dice in the first round.
2010-04-01 19:34:59 - MarshalNey: hmmmm... you may be right at that.
2010-04-01 19:39:15 - DresdenSooner: Unless of course the drop always both players to get a bonus in the first round, but even then, once player 2 doesn't break the first player's bonus, the first player has the advantage.
2010-04-01 19:39:30 - DresdenSooner: that should be allows both players to get a bonus
2010-04-01 19:48:51 - MarshalNey: well, in this case the terrible rolls don't help... but I guess that just makes the point when the dice so completely dictate the outcome
2010-04-01 19:49:45 - MarshalNey: In fog of war, I think there 's at least the potential for bluff and gamesmanship. Sunny, well... more complex maps might have more to offer
2010-04-01 19:50:07 - MarshalNey: Chinese checkers, however, gets an 'F' for 1v1 games
2010-04-01 19:50:33 - DresdenSooner: Yes, I agree. Fog does help even things out in the 1v1 games.
2010-04-01 19:50:57 - DresdenSooner: I agree with that as well. I don't know of a lot of fair 1v1 maps.
2010-04-01 19:55:03 - MarshalNey: phffff... NOW I get the crazy good dice
2010-04-01 19:58:15 - DresdenSooner: gg
